Yare yare

Well, since Imi told me to, as I am the writer and thus supposed to be better with words (ha, we'll see how that works out), I'm supposed to introduce the comic.

So, here goes.

I'm Belial, the writer. I put words on page and hope that they're intelligible enough that Imi, my lovely artist, will make them make sense. Thus far, she's succeeded masterfully, I believe.

Fallen, is, at it's core, a shonen manga. Expect violence, explosion, crazy hair, wild characters, and the occasional bucket of angst. The characters will be crazy and larger than life, and hopefully endearing. I think they are. And Imi is making them all ridiculously gorgeous, so that'll help.

It tells the story of Tristan Orpheus, an ever-cheerful young man with a traumatic past, Ezekiel, an angel who Fell in disgrace from Heaven, and the way that their lives come together. It will follow their pain, their struggles, and the ways they become stronger and try to gain redemption. Because, in the end, that's the core message of Fallen. That no matter what past you may have, if you seek it out, you can become better.

Obviously, dealing with Heaven and Hell, angels and demons, Fallen will stray heavily into the territories of theology, demonology, angelology, etc. We're not trying to push a message, of course, and we hope not to offend everyone. I am an agnostic, and Imi is a devout atheist, in fact. We just both find the lore fascinating and a good springboard for an epic story. That's my warning on the subject.

So, that's it. Fallen. We both hope you enjoy, and look forward to your readership.
